So...
It's been quite a while since I've put anything up here, so here we go!
I made it to Savannah and back just fine a few weeks ago. I saw just about everybody that I hoped to, and did just about everything I wanted to. Ate, drank, and was generally merry for the minimal time I had there. It was in many ways different, but in the same way, still the Savannah I have grown to love over the past years in my time there. I was sad to go, but glad to be there.
Something that I've grown to really like, and something I think just about anybody should at least try, is podcasting. Apple recently released iTunes 4.9, which features podcast grabbing abilites. If you don't have it yet, download a copy from Apple and start listening! Each podcast is sort of like a radio show, whether it be about politics, music, technology, or even about other podcasts. You can subscribe to them, and they will be updated as new episodes come out. Listen, find some you like, subscribe, and enjoy!
I've been quite busy lately at work, pounding away day after day to get this job done. It's actually much more fun than that, but still very very busy. I work well with this though, as the rush of stuff keeps me going until I'm done everyday. I come back the next day, and there's always more to pound on. This next week should be a really big push, as it's the start of our "hard" deadlines, and there's so much to do to get everything ready for it.
I know now that I will be here for a bit longer, until the end of November. I'm also happy to say that I'm no longer an intern, but instead, I've got a real contract right here in my hands. This brings with it some very nice pluses that I didn't have with my intern status. I'm not sure what's going to happen in November, but I'm not worried about that right now, no time, with all the work flying around. All I know is that I'm excited about this, and I can't wait to see where this part of the story takes me!
